Global Kids Program Fees 2019-20
Fees listed are for Global Kids activities only. 3rd Party Class providers set their own rates and manage their own billing. We will list 3rd Party Class fees and contact info in the class descriptions posted on our website and within the enrollment system for your information. Please contact the 3rd Party Class provider directly for billing and other questions.
Registration Fee: $35 per child per school year which is due at the time of registration in the extended-day program. All students are required to pay this fee before enrolling in any extended-day program activities, which include: Global Kids Blocks 1 and 2, 3rd Party Classes, Drop-in to Global Kids, Global Kids Alternative Days, and late-pick up after TIS camp or school.
Block 1: During Block 1, students may select a class of their choice for each day of the week from the options listed on the enrollment website or under the section “Class Schedule” within the Global Kids section of the TIS website. Choices for each day will include Global Kids classes and 3rd party Classes.
Pick-up: Students enrolled in Block 1 ONLY must be picked up by 5:15pm on the Lower Playground. If you do pick up your child on time, a Drop-in fee for Block 2 will be applied.
Block 2: All students who participate in Block 1 Global Kids or a Coordinated 3rd Party class may choose to sign up for our Block 2 Global Kids programming. Students in Block 2 must be picked up by 6:00pm or a late pick-up fee will be charged.
Late Pick-up After Closing: The late pick-up fee is $5 per every five minutes late, rounded up to the nearest five minutes.
Drop in Participation: Global Kids offers single day drop-in participation for families up to two weeks in advance (space permitting). To request drop-in participation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your student’s name, grade, teacher, time blocks requesting, and desired dates of service. We will respond within 2 business days of your request. For any drop in requests coming in less than 24 hours of the desired drop in date, please email first and then call the Global Kids Program Coordinator at 503-226-2496 x226. Please note that the Coordinator will be checking and responding to Drop-in requests daily after 12:30pm on regular school days. If you have a last minute request we will reply as soon as we are able.

Discounts: Global Kids offers families two types of discounts.
- For multiple children: Global Kids offers a 5% discount on the total block fees for families with more than one student enrolling
- NEW: The 5% sibling discount will be applied to every student within a family who enrolls more than one child in Global Kids.
- For Full time Enrollment: Students who enroll in Block 1 and 2 all five days for the entire term are eligible for a 10% discount on their total Block 1 and 2 fees. There is no “full time” discount for alternative days.
Pro-Rated Fees: Global Kids provides pro-rated fees for new families who join the TIS community after the Global Kids semester has already started. Pro-rated fees will not be issued for current families who sign up after the semester has already begun.
NEW! Deposits: A deposit is required at the time of enrollment for each Global Kids activity selected. Deposits are applied to the cost of the activities. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
- $100 deposit for Block 1
- $20 deposit for Block 2
- $15 deposit for each Alternative Day enrollment
Payments: Payments can be made online through your CampSite account using your debit or credit card, via check made out to “The International School”, or by cash. Cash and check payments may be dropped off at the Global Kids front desk located in Stearns Hall. Please write the student’s full name along with the parent’s name and phone number, attention; Global Kids Manager on the envelope with your payment.
Payments for all Global Kids activities may be paid in full at the time of enrollment or in monthly installments throughout the semester. Accounts must be paid in full by the end of each semester. Failure to pay your account in full by the end of each semester will result in the barring of participation in any future Global Kids Extended-day Program/3rd party activities.
