After-School Enrichment Clubs

ISP Extended-Programs is happy to announce the introduction of After-School Enrichment Clubs! These clubs will be inspired and led by the teachers here at ISP, who are excited to share their passions, hobbies, interests, and skills with our students outside of the classroom! ISP Enrichment Clubs will allow students of all grades and language tracks to come together to learn a new skill, perform, create, and play. Join us after school to engage in some of the following club offerings:

  • Code and create in Lego Robotics!
  • Act, write, and perform in theater!
  • Breathe and stretch in yoga!
  • Sing and harmonize in choir!
  • Craft and create!

ISP After-School Enrichment Clubs will run from 3:30-4:45 pm on certain school days on a trimester-long basis, and are available for all students who are enrolled at the International School of Portland. Clubs have a group size of 4-15 students, and are organized and led by a current ISP staff member. 

Schedule

  • Spring after-school Enrichment Clubs will begin the first week of April, and run for 8 weeks, or 8 sessions. Enrollment will be on a trimester-long basis.

  • Clubs will run after-school from 3:30-4:45pm, one to two days per week. Please see Campsite for schedule information for current clubs.
  • Students will be collected from the classroom at dismissal, and given a healthy snack until the start of their club at 3:45pm.
  • If a club session is canceled due to school closure or teacher absence, the session will be rescheduled for a following week.

Enrollment

  • Enrollment opens at noon on Monday, March 11, 2024
  • Each family is required to register online in CampSite and complete the necessary forms, once per school year.
  • Once online enrollment is requested, families will receive two emails. The first email is an acknowledgement of the enrollment request. The second email confirms that a staff member has reviewed and accepted their enrollment.The non-refundable reservation fees are charged at the time the enrollment request is accepted.
  • Enrichment Clubs are dependent on minimum enrollment being met.

Payments: Families will sign up for autopay during the enrollment process in CampSite. CampSite accepts credit and debit card payments. Billing will occur one week before the first day of the Enrichment Club. 

Cancellations and withdrawals: Families may cancel or withdraw from the program at any time; however, refunds will not be issued after the time of billing, one week prior to the first day of the club, and deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations can be made in writing to globalkids@intlschool.org.

Refunds: Refunds will not be issued after the time of billing, one week prior to the start of the club.If a club is canceled due to teacher absence, school closing, or a no-school day, the missed club session will be scheduled for a different week. If a club is canceled due to inadequate enrollment, a full refund will be issued. If the minimum 10 sessions of the club is not offered, a prorated refund will be issued for the remainder of the sessions.

All deposits are non-refundable.

Enrichment Club After-Care: Enrichment Clubs run from 3:30-4:45 pm. If care is needed after 4:45, students will need to be enrolled in Global Kids Extended-Day. Global Kids Extended-Day runs until 5:30. Please see Global-Kids Enrollment and FAQ for more information about the program. 

Late Pick-up: Students must be picked up by 4:45 or a late pick-up fee will be charged. The late pick-up fee is $2 per minute late, rounded up to the nearest five minutes. Please call Global Kids immediately at 503-380-2322 if you are running late.

Arrival and Dismissal for Enrichment Clubs

  • Students will be brought by their teachers directly to Enrichment Clubs after school.
  • Enrichment Clubs end promptly at 4:45pm. If you are going to arrive late, please call or text Global Kids manager at 503-380-2322 as soon as possible.
  • If you need care after the end of the Enrichment Club at 4:45, you must enroll in Global Kids Extended-Day. 
  • All students must be signed out by an authorized adult using SchoolPass  (ISP’s drop-off and dismissal system) on your mobile device. Parents will do this with their cell phone. Make sure your student’s account is up to date with all authorized adults. Students can only be released to authorized pick-ups.
  • Please add all authorized pick-ups on your Campsite profile.
  • After signing your child out on your mobile device, please wait at the designated pick-up location and a staff member will greet you to direct you to their classroom.
