Please extend a very warm welcome to Ryan Scheel, our brand-new Extended Programs Director and Capstone Study Abroad Coordinator! Ryan will supervise summer camp and Global Kids, as well as manage our big 5th Grade study abroad trips! Ryan comes to us from the French American International School; where over the past 14 years was instrumental in developing and overseeing all of their Summer Camp, Arts Weeks, and all extracurricular programming.

Parent Network Monthly Meeting Moved to Next Week
Due to various parent events tomorrow morning, the monthly Parent Network meeting has been moved to next week. Come join us to chat about the loosening restrictions and what that means for volunteer opportunities on campus! All are welcome!
The ISP Parent Network’s mission is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and community environment at the International School of Portland. It serves to identify and organize volunteer support at ISP. Just as importantly, it aims to strengthen relationships, communication, and collaboration between parents, faculty, and administrators.
Grade Level In-Person Parent Coffees – Grades 2 and 3 are tomorrow!!
YES!! IN-PERSON! Please join us on campus and in-person for a parent social coffee! Coffees will be outside in the Maria Abad Courtyard (next to Learners Hall).
- 2nd/3rd: Thursday, March 10th
- 4th/5th: Tuesday, March 29th
All coffees will start at 8am. Grab a cup or mix and (socially distanced) mingle with parents and staff!
Moving for Music and Art Returns!
Our MMA logo contest has begun! We are asking our students to get their creative juices flowing and design the 2022 Moving for Music and Arts logo that will be featured on posters and other event elements. This is our third year for this fun and creative tradition.
Logo contest entry requirements:
· Logos must be no more than 2 colors (in addition to black and white)
· Logos must highlight elements from both art and music
· Logos must be submitted on paper no larger than 8 ½” by 11”
· Entries are due no later than March 16, 2022
Submissions are due by Wednesday, March 16 and can be turned in by dropping them off with the student’s homeroom teacher. The logo contest winner will be announced on March 28.
Grandparents and Special Friends Event – Date Correction
The ISP Grandparent and Special Friends event is coming in May!
This exciting community event for ISP students and their grandparents and/or special friends is held annually every May. In the past we have hosted our guests for a sit-down tea. Last year we celebrated the art of storytelling in a virtual event format. We are hoping to bring this event back to campus safely on May 7, 2022. <– please note corrected date!
Grandparents and special friends will receive an invitation to this event soon but, in order to receive an invitation, we need to make sure we have contact information. To add a grandparent or special friend to our mailing list, please use this form.
