International Festival: New Dates
The International Festival is coming back!! The International Festival is one of the great annual traditions at ISP. Each homeroom class performs a different song, skit, and/or dance in their track language. It’s a great way to showcase our multiculturalism and spirit of the school.
Due to the Omicron surge, we’ve postponed the filming and festival for two weeks. The International Festival will now run from February 22 – 25.
In the past, we have rented a theater, where ISP parents, grandparents, and other members of our community are invited to come watch the students perform. While it’s still too soon to return to a theater environment, we’re reviving the Festival in a new, COVID-friendly way!
Instead of one day of live performances, class performances will be streamed online throughout an entire week!
Each performance will be recorded in advance of the week. Then throughout the International Festival week, each recorded performance will have a “premiere” on a certain day and time.
The recorded performances will “premiere” during the week of Feb 22 – 25. The performance will also be archived for viewing later for families who cannot view the “premieres.”
VIDEO EDITORS STILL NEEDED!
We hope to enlist a group of parents with basic video editing experience to help edit the class International Festival videos.
The plan is to keep the video shoots pretty basic, and therefore the need for editing to a minimum!
We would like multiple volunteers to share this project, and provide a clear cute “performance template” that will be straightforward as to what to cut where!
If you have any experience with iMovie, Lightworks, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, etc then this is for you.
The goal is to allocate 3 performances per volunteer (5-6 hours), and would need to take place by the last two weeks of February.
