Questions? Email globalkids@intlschool.org ISP Admissions Ambassadors Needed
Want to share your love of ISP with prospective families? Become a ISP Admissions Ambassador! Admissions season is now in full swing, and we could use some help with chatting with families who are interested in enrolling their children at the school. Prospective families really value hearing from people like YOU about your family’s experience at the school! Parents with children in all grades and tracks welcome. You’d get assigned 3-5 families a month to reach out to via email or phone and say hello and offer to answer any questions that they may have. It would take 1-2 hours a month maximum, through May. For more information about the program, please respond to this email or contact Jan Williams janw@intlschool.org Save the Date: Chat with Alumni Night & All-Parent Meeting Mark your calendars for the annual Parent Network all-parent meeting and Chat with Alumni Night! ISP OBOB Tournament
OBOB Regional Tournament in Learners’ Hall ISP is hosting a mini-Regional tournament! The winning team from the ISP tournament will compete against teams from 20 other schools on Saturday, February 29th from 8 am to 3 pm at Learners’ Hall. Deepest thanks to our parent organizers, Betsy Cruz and Kristen Stowell. Happy Reading! 5th Graders Seeking Donations for Refugees
Dear Families, In English class, we read a book called Refugee and learned about conflict and its effect on people’s day to day lives. We also had a presentation by our ISP music teacher, Sarah, who shared her experience working with refugees in a camp in Lesvos, Greece. We were so touched by our learning and we are moved to help refugees as much as we can. We feel sad and frustrated about their situation but we know there is something we can do to help. There is a local organization called IRCO (Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization). We contacted this organization and they gave us a list of items that we could donate. Would you consider donating an item from the list? Deanna’s 5th grade class will sort the items and send them to IRCO. Thank you for being open-minded and caring and taking time to listen to us. It feels important for us to take action locally with this global issue. Please see the attached list of donation items. All donations can be left in the labeled boxes on the 5th grade floor or at the entrance of Learner’s Hall.
