Student-Led Conferences Are Next Friday

Student-Led Conferences are coming up! Unlike our other two conferences of the year, these will be student-led and IN-PERSON! These conferences are offered to PreK through 5th Grade students.

FRIDAY, APRIL 28
IN-PERSON!

WHAT ARE STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES?
A celebration of learning!
Led completely by the student
An opportunity for students to take ownership and to demonstrate their learning to their families
A common practice in PYP schools all over the world
In person!
Something new for ISP!
Check out more information about the conferences here: Student-led conferences family information 2023.pdf

THEY ARE NOT…
“normal” conferences. They are not a time to discuss issues or concerns with the teacher. This time is all about celebrating your child and giving them a chance to shine!
If you need to discuss an issue or concern, set up a separate time to meet with your teacher.

SIGN UP FOR STUDENT-LED CONFERENCES
Conferences will last about thirty minutes each. There may be up to three families in the conference at once; slots will be staggered (so don’t be confused when you see 10-minute increments on the sign up).
IMPORTANT – PARENTS OF TWINS: Please book your twins’ times separately, if possible, so that there is no overlap. This should be dedicated time for both of them!

One Question Survey

You should have gotten an email last Thursday from Maria or Jason that asks for your participation in a very short survey. It is a simple two-minute survey per student in your family, which we send out in both the Fall and Spring. It’s a simple way for you to let us know what we are doing well and where we can improve. The feedback from this survey helps us to shape our activities and priorities, both school-wide and in specific areas.

It will take no more than a few moments of your time. The more people that participate, the more actionable and valuable the feedback will be to the school.

We would like EVERY parent in a household to complete it. Please check your emails from Maria Abad or Jason Johnston from last Thursday. Thank you in advance for your time!
