Parent Network Monthly Meeting Tomorrow

The ISP Parent Network’s mission is to strengthen, enhance and encourage the educational and community environment at the International School of Portland. It serves to identify and organize volunteer support at ISP. Just as importantly, it aims to strengthen relationships, communication, and collaboration between parents, faculty, and administrators.

Join us tomorrow to learn more about Parent Network happenings and how to get more involved now or in the future. If you are a current parent at the school, you are already a member of the Parent Network! 🙂

Parent Network Monthly Meeting

ISP Arthur Administration Building
122 S Arthur Ave (just up the street from the main campus)

We hope to see you there!

Moving for Music and Art Logo Contest

Our Moving for Music and Art logo contest officially starts now!

We want our students to get their creative juices flowing and help us design the 2023 Moving for Music and Arts logo that will be featured on posters and other event elements. This is our fourth year of this fun and creative tradition!

Logo contest entry requirements:
-Logos must be no more than 2 colors (in addition to black and white)
-Logos must highlight elements from both art and music
-Logos must be submitted on paper no larger than 8 ½” by 11”
-Entries are due no later than March 8, 2023

Submissions are due by Wednesday, March 8 and can be turned in by dropping them off with the student’s homeroom teacher. The logo contest winner will be announced on March 20.

What is Moving for Music and Art?

Moving for Music and Art is ISP’s annual fun run! It will take place on April 26 and 27 this year. All funds raised from this popular event will benefit our music and art classes at the International School of Portland by fulfilling their budget and providing them with funds to purchase materials and support their programming.

Watch for more information coming soon via The Owl and email. Let’s get moving! Contact Events Coordinator Allegra Lopez for questions or more information on this year’s event.

Green Corner: New Campus Plantings Coming

Thanks to your amazing generosity, we raised $104,000 in this year’s Global Gala Special Appeal! This year’s Special Appeal is dedicated to creating Joyful and Playful spaces at ISP. We are putting some of those funds to use right away by doing plantings in key high visibility and traffic areas on campus.

We worked with a Master Gardener to develop a planting plan for areas along Sherman Street, Water Street, and above the Kindergarten Modular.

These plantings are all natives, and are tailored to the soil, sun and foot traffic of their locations. They are meant to be visually appealing while also improving air quality! We will send before and after pictures when complete.

This is just one of many activities that we will be undertaking to make our campus green, beautiful, and engaging.

THANK YOU to all who contributed to the Special Appeal!
