This ISP International Festival is this Friday! Below is some important information to help you plan your day. Check your email for seat and parking lot maps!

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2023:

PCC Sylvania: 12000 SW 49th Ave, Portland, OR 97219

PARKING PASSES

Parking Passes went home in backpacks or lunchboxes TODAY. Please check backpacks! Space is limited in the venue!
• We will have two PCC parking passes for each ISP household (families with parents in separate households will each get two). You will need to put that parking pass on your dashboard, or you WILL get a ticket.
• Parking spots may be FAR, particularly for shows 2 & 3. Arrive early. Be prepared to walk for 10 MINUTES to get from your car to the theater. Check your email for PCC campus parking maps.
• Though you have two passes, try your best to go in one car.

NO AFTERNOON CURBSIDE SERVICE ON FRIDAY

At the ISP campus on Feb 8, there will NOT be curbside service due to staff being at the festival. You can park on the South Sherman Street hill (where we usually do the curbside).

HAVE A CHILD IN THE 2:00 SHOW?

• School buses will bring all students performing in this show TO the theater. We CANNOT get a bus to bring kids back to school after the show. All parents are responsible for arranging pick-up for their child after the show and making sure their child gets CHECKED OUT WITH THE TEACHER before leaving.
• Parents with children in this show will have a slight grace period to pick siblings up at ISP. If you can’t make it exactly by 3:30, we understand.
I• f you have a K-5 sibling not performing in this show, we can bring him/her to the theater on the bus so you don’t have to go back to ISP. Please email Kat by WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1 – to ensure you get a response before assuming that it will happen.

Online Silent Auction

Auction Special Appeal

Each year, as part of our Live Auction, we focus on a special project that ISP would like to implement. Funds raised for this year’s special appeal will be used to create playful and joyful spaces on campus. Possible projects include the addition of planters and plantings in high visibility locations, art installations, playground elements and outdoor classroom spaces.

For further information, click HERE for an overview of the project or contact Beth Katona, Development Director.

Campus Work Update

There are some nice changes happening around our physical campus!

First, we finally got approval for a more permanent perimeter fencing. That ugly, wobbly temporary fencing surrounding the campus will be replaced by sturdy, more attractive perimeter.

Second, the overhead lights in all buildings have been replaced with energy-efficient LED lights.

FInally, start looking closely. The daffodils that our Parent Network volunteers planted in the Fall are starting to peek out!

Head of Elementary Coffees

Come chat with Head of Elementary Jason Johnston! He will discuss pertinent issues, as well as answer any parent questions.

Thank you, Lunar New Year Volunteers!

We hope that your children had a lot of fun celebrating the Lunar New Year at ISP last week! It was a great joy to see so many students dressed in their New Year’s finest. Students joyously sang together and danced along with the lions! We’ve never seen such a scramble for shredded cabbage pieces. 🙂
