Covid-19 Testing Now Available for PreK & LowK!
We just got word that voluntary weekly COVID-19 testing for our PreK and LowK students can start next week! Similar to the OHSU/OHA testing program, this would be voluntary testing; parents would administer the tests themselves and return them to the school for processing. The one difference for this testing is that it is a nasal swab rather than a spit test. Willamette Valley Toxicology (WVT) will run the testing on behalf of the Oregon Health Department (OHA).
PreK and LowK families: please look for an email sent early this morning for more details about how to sign up!
Grades K-5 Covid-19 Testing Reminders, and another chance to sign up!
IMPORTANT: As a reminder to all Participating Families in the OHSU/OHA COVID-19 Testing Program:
Please use the provided labels for your specimens, they are stapled to the outside of your package for your convenience.
Samples must be delivered during arrival. We cannot accept late specimens because the courier comes just after arrival.
Samples must be provided ONLY to collection locations. Teachers will NOT collect specimens, so please do NOT stuff the samples in your child’s backpack.
Test kits will be sent home on THURSDAY this week because of no school on Friday!
Did you miss the original sign up? Good news!! OHSU’s program enrollment is now rolling. Any family that wishes to join in now, can.
To enroll in this program:
1) Please complete two simple authorization forms for EACH child – click here: COVID-19 Screening Program ISP.
2) Please return the paperwork to either Stearns Hall or Hilltop Front desk.
3) Once your paperwork is received, it will take about two weeks to get your student started in the program.
Is your child going to be absent? Please remember to use SchoolPass!
Friendly Reminder: If your child needs to stay home from school, please mark them absent in SchoolPass, with the reason! This sends notifications to all the appropriate staff as well as updates your child’s attendance. This is the EASIEST method to notify us of your child’s absence!

Fall Costume Parade – October 29th!
It’s going to happen!
Our much-beloved annual Fall Costume Parade will be held on Friday, October 29.
We will be blocking South Water Street to allow space for the students to walk around and see each other while keeping social distance and separate cohorts.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions parents will NOT be allowed to come watch this year. We will be taking photos, and the event will also be streamed live in our private community Facebook group! We also will be creating a slideshow of pictures from the parade.
