Tomoyo is Library ParaProfessional of the Year!
Tomoyo Ogawa, our school’s Library Specialist, was chosen as the Library Paraprofessional of the Year through the Oregon Association of School Libraries (OASL)!
This is a wonderful recognition of the excellent work that Tomoyo does to support the entire ISP community, such as:
- Providing curriculum support to all teachers and students through managing the contents and distribution of UOI bins.
- Promoting a love of reading by leading the Book Fairs, including seeking out track language vendors to participate in our Book Fairs.
- Leading Japanese language collection development efforts, including collaborating with our Japanese teachers and development team to secure grant-funding for purchasing more Japanese books.
- Helping to create a welcoming, literacy-rich, engaging environment in the library through her strong organizational, graphic design, and presentation skills.
The award committee was especially impressed with Tomoyo’s resume, with how closely Tomoyo works with our head librarian, Lora Worden, and with ISP for recognizing the importance of having a well-staffed library.
CONGRATULATIONS, TOMOYO!!
