Chinese Capstone Students Are Here this Week!
Our Capstone exchange students from China are here this week! Students and teachers from the Suzhou Experimental Elementary School (our host school in Suzhou, China) are attending ISP Wednesday-Friday. The SEES students are staying with our Chinese track 5th grade families. These are the same SEES students who will host our 5th graders in March.
Due to the chaotic weather this week, arrangements were made for ISP parents to pick up their host student early. Some parents even picked up host students for other families. Thank you so much to these ISP families, teachers Christy and Angela, and to Meredith Fleming for all of their hard work in making this happen!
Overall our parents are beyond thrilled to witness their child speaking fluent Chinese and our students are being kind, patient and gracious hosts. They all took advantage of the no-school day on Tuesday to have fun! Seeing the students together having fun is a warm reminder of the ISP mission.
We are very excited to have the opportunity to host these students. Now in its third year, it is an amazing and rare opportunity for cross-cultural exchange. We hope that every host family and student truly enjoys the experience. If you see the visiting students or teachers on campus, please join us in welcoming them to ISP!
