Clean Drinking Water at ISP

The recent reports regarding lead being found in the drinking water of Portland Public Schools and Beaverton Schools no doubt raises concern for the ISP community regarding our own water.

Fortunately, 4 years ago, out of concern over Portland Water Bureau’s aging infrastructure, ISP installed quality filtration systems on all of our drinking fountains. The filters we use meet or exceed NSF/ANSI 42 & 53 aesthetic and health standards for reduction/removal of contaminants such as chloramine, lead, benzene and more, as well as, microbial contaminants > 0.5 microns (protozoa and certain bacteria). The filters are changed routinely throughout the school year to insure quality contaminant free drinking water to our students.
