The Board Corner: A Note from Matt Schweitzer

Welcome to the first edition of the “Board Corner!”  In an effort to keep our community up to date on ISP Board processes and goals, we will share a monthly report in In The Know.

I am pleased to announce that we have added 4 new members to the ISP Board: Greg Lutje, Becky Smith, Gus Martin, and Kevin Pendergast.  Greg will be on our Governance Committee, Becky and Gus will be serving our Finance Committee, and Kevin is taking a spot on the Development Committee.  Each of these individuals brings a unique skillset to the Board, and we are honored to have them volunteer their time and talents to ISP.

The ISP Board utilizes a committee-driven process.  Our members sit on different committees to serve the needs of ISP, which include Governance, Finance, Development, and Buildings & Grounds.  We are currently looking for people to serve in an advisory capacity on our Building & Grounds Committee.  If you have a background in this area, and are willing to give of your time and expertise, please let me know at board@intlschool.org.

The first Board meeting of the year is scheduled for October 9, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Arthur Street Administration building.  All are welcome to attend and to observe the meeting process. Meeting minutes will be posted on the parent section of our website after they have been approved. We hope to see you there!
