News from Robert (Student Support) – 3/31/14
Dear Parents,
As part of the school’s mission to provide a student-centered education, we have been increasing our capabilities for meeting the needs of students who need extra academic support or extra academic challenge. Thanks in part to parent generosity in the Auction Special Appeals, many teachers have completed workshops on differentiated instruction, technology has enabled more individualized challenges, and more children are benefiting from our student-centered focus than ever before.
In addition to those efforts, last year we introduced Student Support Services (SSS), a program to help students who may require more support or more challenge to grow academically. Through the multi-step SSS process, the ISP educational leaders use their cumulative expertise to help meet students’ unique needs. The process helps teachers share successful strategies and resources so that a student receives consistent support from class to class and year to year. We have now put together an overview of the SSS program for parents. Please click here to read more about SSS.
