Update from Maria Abad – Nov 25, 2013
It is amazing how weeks go by and the holidays are now around the corner. As educators, what better way to start the celebrations than meeting with our children’s parents for parent-teacher conferences. During those meetings you had an opportunity to learn about your child’s accomplishments, the growth we have seen during this first trimester and plans of action that the teacher has put in place for the students who need extra help in some areas of their development.
Sometimes after the meetings when you have had time to reflect upon your conversation, and you might feel that some things were not clear and you may need some clarification of certain issues raised in the conference. If this is the case, I urge you to please set up a follow up appointment with your teacher. Do not let it fester, we are here to help if you need it.
