Auction Gala Volunteer Resources
Thank you for being an auction volunteer! On this page you will find resources to help you find the best way to get involved.
This year the 2024-2025 Global Gala will consist of two parts:
- An online Gift Givers’ Auction from December 11-December 17th for all your gift-giving needs
- An in-person Gala with live auction will be held February 1, 2025 at The Loft on 8th
Together, these two activities make the Global Gala ISP’s largest annual fundraising campaign; we raise over $300,000 that directly and immediately benefit our teachers and students! The Global Gala funds financial aid, educational technology, teaching tools, classroom equipment, teacher professional development, and so much more!
Our annual gala’s success depends largely on the work of our amazing group of parent volunteers. Thank you for your time and commitment to the success of this event and our students!

Student Art Projects
Collaborative art projects by ISP students are the highlight of our annual gala! The students take great pride in their work and are excited to share their projects with their families. These projects will be part of the December online Gift Givers’ Auction. Each class will identify a volunteer to help coordinate a collaborative art project with other classes across each grade level. Student Art Project Coordinator training will be held in October! Final art is due December 6, 2024.
Class Packages & Baskets
Many classes pool resources to create a class package or basket to include in the silent or live auction. Packages often have a theme like sports or nights out in Portland and consist of items and/or experiences for fellow families to bid on. Packages help raise a significant amount of revenue for the school during our silent auction.
*** Note: We no longer take bottles of liquor to include in our baskets per OLCC laws. Beer, wine, and cider are fine, but must be in factory-sealed containers. Please work with the gala procurement team so that your basket can fall within the guidelines. Please DO NOT drop off alcoholic beverages to teachers in classrooms; you may coordinate with Beth Katona or Yoko Takemoto for pickup or items can be dropped off at the Arthur Admin Building (0122 SW Arthur).
