Reflective …

.. is our May learner profile. Reflective learners “…thoughtfully consider the world and our own ideas and experience. We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses in order to support our learning and personal development.” (IBO 2013)

When we look at ourselves in a mirror, we see a reflection of our external selves. We see that we may need to adjust our hair or collar, need a bit more sun or look pretty darn good today! IB learners grow from learning to reflect on their inner development and actions. Was I caring today? Did I demonstrate open-mindedness? Did I follow my principles in a difficult situation?

We will wrap up the year in assemblies by looking back on all the attributes and literally weaving them together with student reflections. Check back here later for photos!
