Zenger Farm, a portion of the Johnson Creek watershed, is an urban farm that practices sustainability. They are a vital resource to educational groups in the Portland area and beyond. The tour will include the greenhouse, fields, viewing of farm animals and insects, wetlands and more! Students will get the opportunity to discover cohabitation of plants and critters that inhabit them.
Zenger is familiar with students of all ages, so there are no age restrictions on this event. Please bring a packed lunch as there will be a lunch break in between the tour and Service-Learning session. Our learning session will be orientated around hands-on farming techniques within the Children’s Gardens. Expect a lot of dirt!
Sign up here! RSVPs are required for this event and space is limited.
The trip will be funded by TIS. If you have any questions please contact Development Assistant Bryna Cortes at email@example.com.
