A Message from Ida Lombardozzi

Dear TIS families,

Friday, December 5th will be my last day at TIS. I have accepted a new position at a social service agency, which provides assistance to needy families.  My educational background is in social work, and it's what I am truly passionate about.  The job is a great fit for me and I am excited about this next step! I am, however, sad to be leaving TIS.  Thanks so much for including me in this community - there are a lot of fantastic things going on both in and out of the classroom.  TIS has a lot to be proud of.

I am collaborating with Robert Woods and some others on who will be your temporary contact people for field trips, Capstone, and summer camp while we find my replacement. I am working hard to make sure everything is organized and ready for the next person!

I have really enjoyed getting to know so many of you and being a part of this diverse and vibrant community.  I have learned a lot!  I hope to stay in touch in the future.

- Ida

Dear Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ida for all her efforts during her time with TIS.  The summer camp program has been very successful under her guidance and Capstone is better organized and is running smoothly as are field trips.  Ida pioneered a new position and her efforts have truly moved TIS forward.  While we will miss Ida’s positive contributions, I celebrate the fact that she is moving into a job that fits her career goals and interests so well.

As Ida mentioned, we are now structuring the details of covering her work load while we begin our recruiting process.  Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.
