Summer Reading Challenge 2011

TIS students in incoming Grades 1-5 are invited to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge sponsored by the TIS Library. All students will receive a Summer Reading Challenge form and suggested reading list by the end of this week. The forms and lists are also available on the TIS Library webpage:

Students must read at least 10 books of their choice in English, and three in their track language.  Incoming first graders may read 10 total. Reading quietly, reading aloud, being read to or listening to an audiobook all count towards meeting the challenge. Parents, please help your readers to choose reading-level appropriate books. Younger readers will also enjoy fun and exciting books above their reading abilities, but which you can share together as a family. Return the forms to the library no later than September 30th for certificates and prizes!

Graduating 5th graders should check out the summer reading programs offered at local libraries or bookstores.
