The TIS Art Show is right around the corner! The show will open May 23 and remain hanging in Stearns Hall until June 3.
Volunteering for the art show
Art Specialists Carolina Barros and Julie Jansen could use your help hanging background paper and artwork. Come earn TIS volunteer hours while getting a sneak preview of the 2011 Art Show!
- Julie will start hanging 1st-5th grade artwork from 3:20-5:20 after school on Friday, May 20. Please RSVP to volunteer (regardless of your child's grade) by emailing her at email@example.com.
- We would also appreciate your help taking down the art show (all grades) - after school Friday, June 3, 3:20 until we are finished. Please RSVP by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help with this. Many thanks for any help you can offer!
Visiting the art show
Everyone is invited to visit the art show any time (during school open hours) May 23 to June 3. In addition, on Friday May 27:
- PreK, LowK & kinder parents are invited for a guided tour of the art show with TIS Early Childhood Art Specialist Carolina Barros. Meet at 8:30 outside Stearns Hall music room entrance area, main campus. Children not in school that day are welcome to tour with their parents.
- 1st-5th grade parents are invited to an art opening with TIS 1st-5th Art Specialist Julie Jansen starting at 3:30pm. Meet outside Stearns Hall music room entrance. A TIS ukulele group will also be performing for this opening.
The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open May 27 - come early, enjoy the art and get your summer reading!
