Making giving & volunteering more meaningful

Would you like your giving and volunteer work to be more effective and meaningful?

If you answer yes, consider creating a giving or generosity plan. Whatever your philanthropic resources (of money and time), your giving can be more effective and satisfying if you have an overall giving plan. A giving plan enables you to be proactive instead of responding reactively in an ad-hoc manner. At its most basic, a giving plan helps you identify how you want to make a difference by answering three questions:

  1. How much will you give of your money and time?

  2. To what?

  3. By what process?

Here are some resources that may help you create your giving plan:

If you would like to include TIS in your plan, please consider the following:

  1. Is your family meeting the suggested volunteer requirement of 25 hours per family? Login to to log your hours, to see how many hours you give, and to indicate your volunteer interests. Check ITK regularly for volunteer opportunities.

  2. Our goal is to have 100% of our parent community make a financial contribution the school (to the TIS Fund-Annual Giving and/or the special appeal) in the 2010-2011 school year. If you cannot remember whether or not you made a contribution this school year or would like to know about previous giving to the school, please contact the Development Office.

If you have any questions regarding creating a plan (no matter the role that TIS will play in your plan) or about how you can support the school, I would be happy to talk to you.
