Imagine your child’s teacher emailing you videos of your child doing a class presentation or speaking with students from their sister school in their target language...  Children doing more in-depth research in their target language with new non-fiction books in the library…  Pre-K and Low-K classes having even better educational toys made of wood rather than plastic, which has been a goal of the Green Committee.

sm-for-ITKSome footwork must be done before the auction so that we can spend monies raised in the most effective way – if you, a family member or neighbor has a business selling laptop computers, academic books or educational toys please let us know. This is a very large purchase that TIS will be making and working within our own community is a great way to support the school and be supported at the same time.

Room parents will be contacting you about Art Projects and Room Baskets.  The Ever Cheerful Mom of Three Molly Moreland has stepped up to coordinate the Auction Basket and Art Show! Projects and Baskets need to be delivered to TIS by Friday, October 23rd. The Art Show is Monday, October 26th… more details to come.

Does your boss have extra tickets to a Blazer, Timbers, Mariners or Seahawks – offer to take the tickets of their hands…Did you go to HS with the Mayor, Congressperson, Governor or President of the US – a behind the scenes tour for a family of 4 would be great...  Is your brother or sister-in-law in the hotel, motel, airline, boating or bicycle industry – we are always in need of places to stay and a way to get there to package with other items procured.  Any and every size item is needed and used.  Gift certificates to your favorite restaurant or even skills that you can share make great items – can you teach a class on how to knit, surf, cook or train a dog?  These make great items.

Thanks for all your support… the emails coming in have been fun, supportive and exciting.  This is a tough economic year, so seeing so many parents offering to help make this a great year is inspiring to us.
