Overdue notices are periodically sent home as friendly reminders to parents and students. These notices are generated by the circulation system and are not meant as bills. Please be aware there is a slight delay between printing and distribution; materials may have been returned during this process. Please disregard the notices if you have returned the overdue materials. If you have a question about an item, or have lost an item and would like to pay for it, please contact the librarian. Bills for lost or damaged materials will be sent out in late May.

Do you need a good idea for the school’s Science Fair? There is a display of science books in the library media center just for you.

The library has received a book award from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). All these books are currently on display in the library media center. Each year NEH identifies a theme important to the nation's heritage and selects books that embody that theme for distribution to selected libraries across the country. The theme for the 2008-2009 award is “Created Equal.”

Please stop by the library media center to see these and all the books included in the award:

  • The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen

  • The Gettysburg Address by Abraham Lincoln

  • Pink and Say by Patricia Polacco in English and Spanish

  • Saturnalia by Paul Fleischman

  • Give Me Liberty! The Story of the Declaration of Independence by Russell Freedman

  • Lincoln: A Photobiography by Russell Freedman

  • Many Thousand Gone: African Americans from Slavery to Freedom by Virginia Hamilton
