Focus Group – A form of research in which questions are asked in an interactive group setting. This is an important tool used to obtain feedback on a variety of issues, topics, products and services.
TIS is currently developing a Strategic Plan. As part of this process, we are inviting parents to participate in a series of focus groups to help assess how well the school is achieving its mission, meeting parent and student expectations and what other programs and services will help make the school outstanding.
The school will conduct four focus group sessions:
Tuesday January 13 3:30-5:00 pm
Tuesday January 13 5:30-7:00 pm
Wednesday January 14 3:30-5:00 pm
Wednesday January 14 5:30-7:00 pm
The sessions will be limited to 15 participants each. Riley Research Associates will be conducting the sessions which will be video taped as a reference tool for review by the Strategic Planning Committee. These sessions are a unique opportunity for parents to help envision the possibilities for the school and guide its direction in the years to come.
There will be childcare provided and light refreshments for those participating.
To sign up, please either call 503- 226-2496 (ext. 103) or email email@example.com with the subject line “Focus Group.”
Please note: Calls and emails must be received between the hours of 9:30 am to 12 noon on Wednesday, January 7th. Please indicate the exact session in which you wish to participate.
Given the size limitations of each focus group, we can register only 15 parents for each session. In order to give as many families as possible the chance to participate, please register only one parent per family. If the session in which you are interested has already filled by the time we have received a message from you expressing your interest in attending, you may still provide written input. You will be given the written discussion guide used in the focus groups and may submit your feedback using those same guidelines.
The Strategic Planning Committee thanks you in advance for your interest in this important process. The committee members look forward to engaging with parents through both these focus groups and written submissions as together we begin to chart the way forward for TIS.
