The Business and Special Project Manager of the Citizens’ Utility Board of Oregon (CUB) is on an indefinite medical leave. CUB is hiring a Business Manager to temporarily fill the position for the next three months.
CUB is an independent non-profit established under Oregon law to represent residential ratepayers before the PUC, the Legislature, Oregon Courts and other forums. Since its establishment in 1984, CUB has saved ratepayers more than $4 billion and has helped create innovative energy policy, including the Oregon Renewable Energy Standard and the establishment of the Energy Trust of Oregon.
Maintain CUB’s system of accounts in QuickBooks, including all aspects of bookkeeping, and payroll.
Prepare budget reports to the Executive Director.
Assist independent auditor during annual audit.
Pay Federal and State payroll taxes.
File quarterly reports.

Order office supplies.
Work with IT consultant, and other vendors to ensure that Office. Equipment is maintained.
Work as part of CUB Development Team.
Help plan, and coordinate direct mail program.
- Public Education
Coordinate weekly online newsletter (blog).
- Office Administration
Schedule and organize meetings.
Assist with regulatory filing.
Non-profit salary based on experience.
Experience with QuickBooks System of Accounting is preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage multiple deadlines.
Experience with non-profit organizations.
Sense of humor.
