Report Cards

Our first school term is already drawing to a close. Report cards will be available by the end of the day on Wednesday, November 19. Look for them in the parent folders located in each classroom. It is recommended that you take some time to review your child's evaluation before your parent/teacher conference on Thursday or Friday of the same week. Parents can sign up for a conference with their child's homeroom teacher, if they have not already done so. If you are unable to meet during the days reserved for conferences, please make arrangements with your homeroom teacher to meet at a mutually convenient time in the coming weeks. Specialist teachers (art, music, PE, and English) will also be available for conferences and have sign-up sheets in their classrooms.

You may notice that the report cards coming out this year have some important differences compared with those of previous years in both formatting and content. We are working always to make improvements to the evaluations by having them correspond with our new PYP curriculum. We are striving to more accurately chart progress across grades, detail progress in more specific skills (especially in the area of language arts), and implement a new grading system. More changes are likely before next year as we make additional improvements.

If you have questions about your child's report card, please ask his/her teacher. If you have general questions about the report card format and changes, please ask the lead teacher or Maria Abad. Lead teachers are:
