Auction news & opportunities for fun

Thanks to the support of our sponsors, donors, teachers, parents, and
volunteers the 13th Annual Auction was a success. The gross total earned
was $176,000 with $43,000 to go toward the Special Appeal item of the
gymnasium remodel and install a playing field. Thank you for several
generous donations toward the Special Appeal. If you have not contributed
and would like to, you may write a check out to TIS (put Auction Special
Appeal in the note) and leave it with Ellen in the main office. Many people
are finding that their companies will do a financial match of such
donations, so you may want to see if you company does that as well.

Listed below are some auction related events/items that are still available
for purchase:

Freshly cut, grade 1 Grand or Noble holiday trees will be baled and
delivered to TIS on November 28, 29 and December 6. Hot cocoa, and candy
canes will be included when you pick up your tree.
Price $65/tree

TIS Sleepover with Coach Rob and Spanish Teacher Ferran. Available to 3rd,
4th, and 5th grade students. Drop off is at 6:00pm on Friday, May 8 and
pick up is at 9:30am on Saturday, May 9.
Price $50/child

Japanese Slumber Party with TIS Japanese track teachers (not just for
Japanese track students). Kids will learn to make their own sushi rolls for
dinner. Drop off is at 6:00pm on Friday, January 17 and pick up is at 9:30am
on Saturday, January 18.
Price $50/child

Bu Guai Brunch will be held on the first Thursday after school begins in
September. Hosted by Heather Clydesdale and Joan Francis, this is a
wonderful way to visit with other TIS parents.
Price $35/person
