September 30-October 13, 2013
Reading with your child is one of the most important things parents can do to build early literacy skills in their children. This year the TIS Library will sponsor the Second Growing Readers Fortnight for grades PK, LK, and K.
Parents are asked to read at least one book (any book, any language) with their children daily for 14 days in a row. Colorful leaves will be available in the reception area at Arthur Street and at Hilltop in the hallway near the Library for you to take home. After you read each book, record your child's name on the front of a leaf, his or her teacher’s name on the back of a leaf and return it to the same area in your building and attach to the tree. Please do not return the leaves to your child’s teacher. All students will be awarded certificates and bookmarks!
How big can we grow these trees?
