We are learning that we use different kinds of balance when we move and play. After practicing different kinds of foot balance, we are now learning how to shift our weight to balance on our hands. This allows us to do a variety of hops that will eventually help us do cartwheels. We are also using our understanding of balance and shifting our weight to perform somersaults on our own. Ask your child to show you a donkey kick, a rabbit hop, an inchworm hop, and a monkey hop, and you can both practice at home!
