The 2020 Global Gala will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Hilton Hotel downtown Portland. The Gala is TIS’ largest fundraising event; we raise over to $300,000 that will directly and immediately benefit TIS students! This event funds educational technology, teaching tools, classroom equipment, teacher professional development, and so much more!
The success of this event depends largely on the work of our amazing group of parent volunteers. Thank you for your time and commitment to the success of this event and our students!

Class Packages & Artwork
Class packages, experiences and artwork help bring in a significant amount of revenue for the school on event night.
Class package, experience and artwork ideas should be registered by October 1st with Rebecca Roberts. All ideas will need approval prior to execution (mostly to eliminate duplicate ideas). Throughout the progress of each project, please fill out the appropriate form(s) below with accuracy so that we can properly thank each person involved in the success of your project. *** Note: We no longer take bottles of liquor to include in our baskets per OLCC laws. Beer, wine, and cider are fine, but must be in factory-sealed containers. Please inform our class and keep in touch with the class basket/artwork coordinator so that your basket can fall within the guidelines. Please DO NOT drop off alcoholic beverages to teachers in classrooms; you may coordinate with Rebecca Roberts, Lisa Olivares, or Lauren Riegelnegg for pickup or can be dropped off at the Arthur Admin Building (0122 SW Arthur).
Auction sponsorship is a wonderful way to promote your business while also supporting a great cause! We provide many opportunities for sponsor recognition before, during and after the Gala. Your investment as a sponsor lets the community know that you are a partner in educating bilingual, self-confident global citizens. Volunteer Position Descriptions and Time Commitments
Our event day volunteers are among the most important people of the evening. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to pull it off so beautifully! Please be advised: some of these jobs require lifting/moving in excess of 20lbs. Many volunteers may bring a change of clothing/shoes in order to get the job done comfortably!
