November Learner Profile Trait: Communicator

The ten International Baccalaureate Learner Profile traits are school values, and are means by which to support healthy social and emotional development. Our faculty focuses upon one of them each month as means.

For November, faculty are focusing on “Communicator”

Profile Overview: We express ourselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. We collaborate effectively, listening carefully to the perspectives of other individuals and groups.

In other words… “We share our ideas and feelings, we listen actively, and we respect each other’s perspectives. “

Our librarians, Amy and Tomoyo, have recommended books about Communication. They are available for checkout at the ISP Library!

Wet & Chilly Weather is Here! Please Prepare Accordingly

Brrrr – It’s getting cold outside!

Please ensure that your child is prepared to be outdoors. As the old saying goes: “No such thing as bad weather…just bad clothing.” If your child wears a mask to school, please be sure to pack extras in case one gets wet!

In addition, dismissal tends to run a little slower in serious downpours. We appreciate your patience as we get everyone safely to where they need to be!

Please Record Volunteer Hours!

Hello, Volunteers!

We have many parents attending meetings, chaperoning, and helping out in the library and classrooms. Please record your hours so that we know who to thank! Plus, an accurate record of volunteer hours is very important for grant applications and external funding.

Volunteer hours can even be recorded for meetings like Curriculum Night, auction planning meetings, and more!

You can find the link in MySchool App under the Resources section.

ISP wouldn’t be the great school it is without our volunteers! THANK YOU!
