Pizza & Puberty

TIS preteen girls (10-12 yrs olds) and their askable adult are warmly invited to an evening of learning, growing and celebrating puberty. Our interactive workshop is designed to impart fact-based information, develop skills, and provide support. Each curious kid should bring one askable adult.

The space holds 8 pairs, so please sign up ASAP to reserve your spot at RoadsToFamily.com. Cost is $15 per pair.

The June 19th workshop is for The International School community – current, alum, and friends of TIS families. If your preteen is a different gender, please contact us and we can create a more applicable workshop!

When: Tuesday, June 19, 6-8pm
Where: 13 Virtues Brewing
6410 SE Milwaukie Ave, Portland, OR 97202 (in Sellwood/Westmoreland)

I just discovered that they don’t actually have pizza (so much for a clever title) but they do have sandwiches, cheese steaks and grilled cheese. And, beer for the askable adult!

5:30pm: arrive to order food and drink
6:00 – 7:30pm: puberty (physical, emotional, social changes and what to do about them)
7:30-8pm: human reproduction (all the ways humans can make new humans)
