Parent Network – Family Diversity Workshop – April 10
Birds, Bees….and Butterflies?!!! There is more than you think to the story of how humans make humans and how those humans make up all of the wonderfully unique families at TIS. Come join us for a two-part parent-led and parent-focused workshop on understanding family diversity.

6-7pm: Baby-Making in Modern Times, TIS parent and health educator Rachel Ginocchio, MPH will lead us through all of the amazing new methods of human reproduction and how you can become a more “askable” adult. This isn’t your grandmother’s sex ed!
7-8pm: My Family, Your Family, Every Family, TIS parent and family educator, Heidi Smith Evans, MSW will lead a round-table discussion about helping our kids and each other understand, communicate about and support differences in family structure. Come prepared to ask questions and share your own experiences! This workshop is an extension of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion educational series TIS provided last year and is sponsored by the Parent Network.
