Ice cream social ASO fundraiser Friday June 7

The TIS 3rd-5th grade classes are working with African Sports Outreach (ASO) to send soccer uniforms, footwear and equipment to at-risk youth and orphans in West Africa through the ASO Passback Program.

For every $200 we raise, ASO can transport one oversized duffle bag, with donated soccer uniforms, footwear, and equipment, to West Africa. Each bag can outfit up to 200 at-risk kids.

Last week, TIS upper grade classes met with ASO Founder Paul Goodrich to learn how their efforts can make a global difference. Click here for the video.

On Friday, June 7, 3rd-5th grade classes will host an after school ice cream social fundraiser (suggested donation $1 per ice cream/popsicle). Paul Goodrich and his ASO-USA trained students will be at the event to demonstrate soccer skills taught at the ASO soccer academies in West Africa. All proceeds will benefit the ASO Passback Program.

Contributions may also be made at any TIS reception desk or in any TIS 3rd-5th grade classroom. Please make checks payable to African Sports Outreach. Visit www.asointernational.org and vimeo.com/37133503 to learn more about ASO. Thank you!
