Volunteering

Volunteering enriches the TIS experience for children, families and staff in so many ways.

By volunteering at TIS, you can -

  • Show your child that school is important in your family’s life
  • Help get important work done that would otherwise either be delayed, not done, or taking time from other staff responsibilities
  • Get to know teachers, administrative staff and other parents
  • Teach your child the value of service by example
  • More easily help improve the school with your suggestions
Parents, grandparents, graduates and friends of TIS are all invited to volunteer.
The best way to know of volunteer opportunities is to watch the weekly In The Know parent bulletin (intlschool.org/itk) for announcements. If there is a specific area that you would like to volunteer for, you can tell the responsible staff member or parent volunteer so they can contact you proactively when needs arise. Not sure who is responsible? Just ask any staff member.

Please log your volunteer hours at intlschool.org/volunteer – so we can thank you and represent your contribution in grant application and donor contacts. Thank you!
