The tired kids spent the last day of capstone in Tokyo, visiting the famous tourist spots. They said the trip was so short, and all answered the favorite part of the capstone was homestay. March 19, 2015: Yokohama

  Yesterday, we spent a day in Yokohama, visiting Nissan factory, Yokohama Port Museum, and Nippon Maru. The kids got to see Nissan engines being assembled, learn history of Yokohama and the ship displayed for visitors. – Emiko Yamaguchi, TIS parent

March 13, 2015: At the Zoo

Kids spent all day at Asahiyama Zoo, where they saw penguins going for a walk, red panda going through a clear tunnel above their heads, clan of Japanese monkeys hanging out and grooming each other, wolves fighting over food, and close up view of so many animals. All students are enjoying their school visit so far even though they have to struggle against jet lug. Japanese, math, science, social study.. Almost all subject they’ve experienced.
