Parents of the International School:
My name is Ben Adams. I am a TIS alumni from the Spanish track. My brother is currently in Paola’s fourth grade class. When I went on my Capstone trip two years ago, we visited a school attended by lower income families after our week at Escuela Modelo. We bought them a few pens and notebooks for school supplies, but I would like to do more. I have organized a supply drive to get more supplies to the kids at this school, which will be visited by the fifth graders this year and likely next year as well. From the 3rd to the 19th of February, I will have boxes in various locations around the school to collect donations, and multiple posters around school as well. These are the supplies I am asking for, and what the school was asking for when I visited two years ago. While the books can be used, please donate new, unused school supplies.
• Composition Books
• Pens and Pencils
• Manual Pencil Sharpeners
• Early Readers in Spanish and English
Some parents in the 5th grade have already volunteered to help with flying down the supplies that we collect, and will delivering them to the school. Thanks 5th grade parents!
