News from Maria Abad – 02/11

While reflecting on my years at ISP, I ask myself how much or little has ISP changed. I can start by sharing what a little boy told me this week when he asked me how long I have worked here. His comment was, “Maria, you must be getting pretty old because your hair is almost white!” My hair was not white when I started at ISP.

When I think about our growth, it’s clear to me that our core values have remained the same. But at the same time, year after year we have become a better school. We are committed to never stop learning and are always refining our best practices. Many of the improvements at ISP have come true because of our amazing community who has supported the school in many different ways, including through the Annual Fund.

The Annual Fund is so important for our continued growth because it provides us with unrestricted funds, which means that we have the flexibility to make sure the donations are used how and when they are needed most. It allows us to send a group of teachers to attend a conference together where they will collaborate and bring new ideas to discuss and put into practice. It allows us to provide more resources to make learning fun, to improve our facilities, to bring in exciting guest speakers and much much more.

The Annual Fund is a celebration where we can all afford to participate because there is no such thing as too little – every penny counts! Please let us come together one more time to help move ISP forward!
